“The body is a sacred garment. It’s your first and last garment; it is what you enter life in and what you depart life with, and it should be treated with honor’’ -Martha Graham

Margaret went to her first Pilates mat class in 1997 and has been committed to practicing ever since. Her first instructor was the late Molly Lynn. Margaret soon progressed from mat classes to individualized reformer work with Molly while expecting her second child. “It was a great pleasure and honor to learn from someone who had worked directly with Joseph Pilates”. As her practice has continued, Margaret has benefitted from the talents of many instructors.

“One thing I know for sure is that a regular Pilates practice has made me the strongest I have ever been. It has also helped me develop a deep respect for my body and all that it does for me. A regular Pilates routine keeps me injury free and enhances my performance while pursuing other activities I enjoy including running, yoga, golf and downhill skiing.”

Margaret enjoys sharing her passion for Pilates with others interested in developing strength and body awareness. My goal is to help you forget the outside world, focus inwardly, and be amazed by what your body can do for you.

In addition to STOTT PILATES® Certification in matwork and reformer, Margaret has a B.A., International Business from Hamline University and a Masters Degree, International Business from the University of Saint Thomas. She continues to practice French weekly with a conversation group at the Alliance Francaise, Minneapolis. Margaret also enjoys singing as part of the Assumption Parish choir, Saint Paul.
