Leah was introduced to Pilates while working as an Occupational Therapist for a home health agency in San Diego. While using Pilates based exercises as a rehabilitation tool, she soon realized the impact Pilates had in aiding the recovery and subsiding the pain of injured clients.
In 2004, dedicated to a life-long pursuit in helping clients live healthy, functional lives, Leah moved to Seattle where she began Pilates instructor training. Leah has been certified since 2006 as a Stott Pilates instructor in mat, reformer, Cadillac, chair, and barrel. Furthermore, Leah has received additional training in Pilates for injuries and special populations and is Pink Ribbon Program Certified.
Having been a therapist since 2001, Leah is continually attending workshops and seminars to increase her education and knowledge base in providing client-centered, therapeutic exercise programs, particularly in the areas of ergonomics, pain management and women’s health. She utilizes her clinical background and employs her knowledge of anatomy and therapeutic exercise to empower clients to achieve their full potential.
