Gabrielle Hopp
Since 2004 when Gabrielle began her own practice, she’s trained in several styles including Vinyasa and Hatha, primarily with Theresa Murphy in Omaha, NE as well as Yin and Therapeutic Yoga. She completed her teacher training in Prague, Czech Republic in the winter of 2010 and has been teaching since.
Gabrielle’s teaching style recognizes the overall goal of Self-Realization within the realm of the yoga class—the true purpose of a yoga practice as a life practice, rather than a routine of physical poses.
Classes include asana (posture) practice as well as meditation and pranayama (breath work). The aim in each session is to target one aspect of the body and work it extensively, possibly to new depths. Most classes will progress toward a peak pose, hopefully giving students a new perspective on sequencing and exploration on the mat.
For Gabrielle, yoga is about consciousness and gaining awareness to fully pursue one’s dharma and recognize one’s true Self.
